Philosophy
SINJIN Diamond, a representative hidden champion, has a reputation of racing against the light. SINJIN Diamond Co., Ltd. is a notable leader in the industry of natural diamond tools for ultra-precision machining in Korea. It started with the localization of natural diamond cutting tools – first in Korea – in 1997, producing Posalux tools used for machining precious metals in 1980s, and then tools for machining standardized contact lenses.
SINJIN succeeded in the development of natural diamond cutting tools for machining of laser reflection mirror, board of magnetic disks, polygon mirrors for laser printers and molds of lenses for optical components, and marketed them in the late 1990s.
Brand management
SINJIN started the operation of cutting and grinding systems, employing ultra-precision natural diamond for machining of shapes. The company also developed controlled waviness diamond tools that yield high-precision shape and surface roughness by precisely mirroring movement of tools on materials relatively easy to cut such as aluminum alloy and oxygen-free copper in 2000s.
SINJIN has established exclusive grinding systems of farthest developed technologies for controlled waviness diamond tools for controlling vibration causing damage to cutting edge during grinding, and grinding degree of tens of nanometer. These developments allow SINJIN to continuously develop tools and new technologies.
